Just received my check for production in November 2013 CHK paid $2.68

same check for December 2013 CHK paid $2.84

Am waiting to see how much they will pay for the Jan and Feb 2014 gas.

Your Blessed, my latest statement from Cheapspeake was 1.46 on Barrnett gas, pure STEALING, I believe this will be resolved in the future, but it will also bankrupt them, so we will probably lose out, but maybe rewind for the future with a new operator.  The non-op side is ever worse, sold all of mine back to them for a loss just to get out from under the monthly ridiculous charges, WORST operator in the history of the world, WARNING, jail time for you folks at the top is in the future, and you deserve it!!!

Hmmmm. A couple of big wheels at Chesapeake indicted for wire fraud or mail fraud would work better than trying to court some politician for help any day.  Any assistant federal prosecutors out there lookin to make a name for themselves???  Just sayin'

Please have them call me, have a lot of information for them to look at and verify. CHK is not a Professional Company and should be run out of business. They have ruined the name of Good Oil and Gas companies.

Chesapeake could cause you to lose all the honesty and Christianity you may possess.  Our well has been closed in about 4 months; therefore, we are getting zilch!  The gauges show a good pressure, but why is it not being produced.  Through the grapevine it was said that they would be refracking these  wells.  Finally, a call goes to Chesapeake.  A sweet lady takes our call and more or less agrees with our feelings about our situation.  Also, she agrees that suing them would be hopeless because they have a bank of lawyers 10 or more deep, who are trained and have experience in nothing but litigation with the landowners.  Oh yes, know that the landowner is the culprit.  So your phone call ends with "thank you for calling and sorry I can't help."  I do believe that strength lies in numbers, and we would need to be committed to what we want to accomplish.  I'm sure our goals are varied, so let's work toward a common goal - WHERE'S THE MONEY? AND LET'S GET IT NOW!!  In looking at the breakdown of our "Where did the money go" sheet, we cannot make heads or tails of the figures.  In one case we were told that we owed them thousands of dollars!!  Now go figure!  Some of it we understand, but most of it we don't.  Yes, it does feel like we are being victims of theft.  It causes such frustration that you just throw up your hands and say, "It's not worth the fight!"  Or is it??

YES it is worth the fight but not with the CHK attorneys, when you are dealing with Snakes, that is what they hire, Snakes to represent them. I agree about filing suit against them. BUT, FRAUD, IS another case where the Government will get involved. They have taken Tax money from our Royalty payments for the first 12 months of production. That never should have been taken from us, it is exempt from Production Tax for the first 12 month of production. They took it out because the payments were much bigger during the first 12 months. Then later, after the production dropped, they did not with hold those Taxes.  Then when I questioned them about "short changing" me on gas produced as reported to SONRIS, they sent me a royalty check that included 2 months of State Taxes instead of paying for the Gas they Stole and did not  Pay for.

The story goes on, We can beat the crooks because they are crooks of the first order. And I do believe in the fact that GOOD will win over BAD.

The article does not say if the impact fees were actually paid to the State of Pennsylvania. Just withheld from royalty payments. Duh?

Yes the companies paid the impact fees to the State of PA, but these fees also had an unintended aspect.  PA could have the highest number of plugged wells that are less than a decade old. 

At this point, of the more the 7,330 unconventional or deep, fracked wells that have been started in Pennsylvania over the past decade, 401 — or 5.5 percent — have been plugged.

To keep a lease HBP the operators were digging a hole a few dozen feet deep and then waiting for NG prices to rise, but when the impact fee was imposed 2012, they had to pay $35-50k for 3 years for that "well".
