Back in the '60s, we used to go fishing and swimming at False River at a friend-of-the-family's weekend getaway camp. Remember having to check our bodies for leeches one time. True. And some folks wouldn't eat fish out of the lake. Then years later, when they built that big Ralph & K. in B.R., it couldn't hold a candle to the family's original place, although the food was decent enough at the higher prices.

Exactly right JJ I’ve eaten at both places and the original food can’t be touched !!

So, you guys remember the boat launch and the bloody mary's?  I do recall the place.

So this would be a new wellbore, not a re-entry?

That will be interesting as it develops,, no doubt.

All the recent Key Operating LA wells, at least back thru 2017, are vertical wells.  The latest well permit is not entered in the database yet but the SONRIS well file shows the permitted TVD to be 17,944' and the MD 18,000'.

I'll post the permit when it shows up in the database.  jay, do you know if Key Operating has experience drilling horizontal wells?

That would seem to fit the available information.

Wonder who Key will be drilling this well for??? Or is the "Key as operator" right now a stealth move to keep the name of the lease holder quiet?

This could be the case if the stealth company is still leasing in area.

I wonder if this activity could act as some kind of delineation of what's possible in central Louisiana. We will have some information from Southern Avoyelles, Rapides, and now Point Coupee. I just hope it works out before the next economic event takes place and possibly stalls things.

Did you get it from SONRIS? I haven't seen it posted yet. All I see is what Skip said.

Thanks for the info.

WTI crude up over $3/bbl yesterday,  let the permitting begin as some majors say $50/bbl and above is acceptable....  and yes, rumor in new roads that new permit for Key Operators is a test well.
