I was wondering if anyone has been contacted concerning this well. I'm trying to figure out what I can expect next and in what kind of timeframe.

I wonder why production was down so much on the B1?

No way of knowing for sure unless you have a mole in the operator's office, but if there is another well on the same pad that needed some sort of workover operation, they would most probably shut in the other well on the pad (i.e. B1) for safety reasons until the workover is completed.

Very common practice.

Could also be that the B1 needed some work that took it off line for part of the month.

Operators are not required to tell royalty owners about these sort of operations.

Hopefully, B1 production will be back up in the following reporting month.

I guess that didn't work out

Some of those query forms on RRC just don't copy & paste well.

12/2019   NO REPORT ON FILE

So November is even worse.

Rock Man is most likely correct. I think the wells were shut-in for part of Oct. & Nov. and Dec. will look more normal.

November, December and January all look a bit sickly.

I wonder if they're shutting it down to do some more drilling?  my price is going up from XTO but production went down by half from August to September.

There has been a workover rig on site (and working) for over a month.  Not sure what wells they are working as all four wells (Keydets H1/B1 & Boll Weevils H1/B1) are all lined up together on the same pad. My view of this is from our property line which is a little over 100 yards away.

The wells on this pad have already produced 13 to 16 BCF each since they came on line. And have been producing between 4 to 8 Million CF of gas per day before this shut in period. Even with pessimistic EUR projections, these wells should all double their present cumulative volumes over time (barring significant mechanical issues in the future).

Having to workover wells at this point of production history is not unheard of - but what concerns me here is the report from NGE that the workover rig has been on location for over a month. Even if the rig is moving from well to well for various operations (e.g. running production tubing), they should have completed  these operations by now and gotten the wells back to sales.

Of course, there is no way to find out what is going on here unless someone has an inside source with the operator. Hopefully whatever work is being done gets completed soon and the wells get back to their pre-workover production rates (or better) so as to take advantage of the high gas price environment.

Thank You Both!  I really appreciate and am actually amazed by the wealth of knowledge that is shared here.  Not quite sure on the mechanics of  these gas wells that share pads, so bare with me.  Can the Keydets H1/B1 keep producing if they are working on Boll Weevils, and vice versa?  but if they are working on Keydets B1, they have to shut down Keydets H1?
