Looks like these are actually in 9n-10w (not 10n-9w). It appears this would actually be 10 net new units.

I got a copy of that same mail out. Looks like sixteen total units in the 9 /10 township. I'm completely surround now. Cheasapeak to the west and XTO to the north.

In time I feel we will be asked to lease. Those pipe lines need to be constructed so there will be a market for the gas. I'm also hearing there are oil pockets they are finding with seismograph efforts. Those big lines are scheduled to be on line in 2012.

Any news on this? We received three pieces of correspondence on this as we have acreage in the mentioned sections. We're sitting tight waiting (hoping) for Encana to approach us for a possible lease. Just wondering......

With the recent Encana article with their CEO stating if low natural gas prices continue they will have to lower their long term growth targets.  So does this mean that we can forget about any lease offers in the near future?

IMO, Encana will drill much of what they have under lease especially in areas where they have sufficient science to judge the quality of the shale. What will slow or stop is the rate of step out development, leasing and drilling. The play has expanded to the point that the core areas are relatively defined. Higher future gas prices will provide an incentive to find the limits of the economic shale.

It remains an active permit.  The well has not been spud.
