The site format doesn't provide sufficient space to see the entirety of the listing.  To access detail for a particular well, click on the six digit well serial number in blue.

JACKIE, only EXCO knows the specific answer to that question.  However, EXCO, and other Haynesville operators, prefer to drill multiple wells sequentially in a single unit or combination of units.  This reduces their cost to produce an mcf of gas. The three HA RA SUEE wells to which you refer are somewhat different from the norm as they have three different surface locations where most multiple pad wells are drilled from the same location.  Keep in mind that EXCO acquired these Bethany-Longstreet drilling rights from Chesapeake and Chesapeake drilled most of the original wells which continue to hold in force the underlying leases.  EXCO has no need to spread their wells around.  They do have a need to be as cost efficient as possible.  Section 6 will have multiple wells similar to the surrounding EXCO units.  Section 5 has 4, 8 has 3, 6 in 10, etc.  The sections you mention - 20,21,28& 29 - are not operated by EXCO.  Those sections/units are still operated by Chesapeake..

Thanks..How did EXCO acquire the drilling rights from Chesapeake and would EXCO possibly acquire more drilling rights in other sections I mentioned

Chesapeake sold the development rights to EXCO several years ago as part of a strategy to raise money to service debt.  I don't expect EXCO to acquire any more Haynesville rights as they are about broke and on the verge of bankruptcy.

Thanks..now I know more about what is going on

JACKIE, some corrections are in order on my part.  I was looking at 13N-13W wells - three of the the EXCO permitted wells on the discussion list are in that township.  There is only one permitted well in 14N-15W.  I think what you are referring to is an application for alternate unit well spacing.  Those are not well permits as such.  An operator must first get approval for the location of the horizontal laterals associated with alternate unit wells before applying for a permit to drill.  The spacing approval has little relevance without a permit to drill.  In many cases companies get spacing approval but don't follow up with well permits.  The spacing approval (field order) is good indefinitely.  A permit to drill is in effect for 365 days. Mineral owners in a unit get a notice letter including well plat for alternate unit wells.  There is no notice required when a company gets a permit to drill.  You simply have to watch your sections on the database or look at the permits approved on some regular basis.  Once a week is enough for most folks.

The rest of my comments generally stand regardless of the different township.  EP Energy has the rights to sections 20 and 29 and they just sold out to Covey Park.  There is a Main Page discussion on that change of operator if you would care to read it.  Section 21 and 28 are Chesapeake units.

Has anyone heard anything about the law suite filed with McDonald law firm against Chesapeake in Desoto Parish

Henry is the only member following the McDonald litigation process.  When did the firm file in DeSoto?

2015

Jackie, Section 21 of 14/15 is in Keatchie, right? Chesapeake has that as I have minerals in sec. 21

yes it is in Keachi

I am following that area closely too. I noticed Chesapeake has applied to DNR for 2 CULs in Sec. 22 which is one section east of us so hopefully we will get a couple more wells by this summer
