The website was the brainchild of Keith Mauck, a landowner and entrepreneur who recognized a pressing need: landowners in the region had little access to…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

Well, at least I was in the correct family! I don't know your family. I just know of them. When we were getting our association together we had to research all of the landowners. Thanks for Franks phone number. I was able to reach him and we had a nice chat. He told me how proud of you he is. He says that you do lots of modeling and have gotten into acting now. You go girl! I was sorry to hear about your brother's death. I know that it must be hard for your family to deal with now. I will not bother your Dad at this time but I would like to hear from him regarding his ownership in the land. Frank tells me that it is all heir property and he cannot do anything without his brother and sister's approval. Anyway, thanks for the information and once again, welcome to our little family.
I nosied around today and found out that Hollis' son moved out to San Diego in the early 70's. His name is Byron Frank Pollard. Is this your Dad? If so, I need to get in contact with him.
Was your grandpa's name Hollis Pollard? If so, I am quite familar with your family. Wow, I also know that at one time Hollis owned over 800 acres here in the Blanchard area. I was under the impression that it was already leased. If that is not so, you may want to join the Shreveport-Blanchard Highway Homeowner's Association. We would love to have you in our group and would certainly love to be able to have you as a bargaining chip when dealing with these landmen!
Again, welcome to the funny farm called Haynesville Shale.
