send me a note on e-mail. my address is bill@speights.net. I am related to Drew and Dora White but I am not sure of the exact connection. I think they lived in the Port Arthur area and used to visit here a lot. Seems like there was a Cornell White also.

Janna,
If it's the A Spear tract, I wouldn't accept anything less than $5K an acre w/ 22% royalty. We're awful close to finding out what the Encana well is going to report initially (and I suspect it's gonna be good) which should increase the value substantially. Just my opinion.....

Janna, What's going on with your offer from Cinco? I talked to them today and they are preparing some kind of offer that beats their first one. It turns out that they are looking for shallow rights only. 7800' and above. Said they would give a depth clause so we could lease the deep rights later. I told them to let me know when they have a better offer.
If you need some help finding deeds, I might be able to help here in Sabine and San Augustine counties. I have been thinking about offering a document retrieval service for people who don't have the time or live to far to do their own research.

Janna, I can't advise you about being a "Land Lady" for Cinco or Samson. I might consider it if they put the deal in writing. Verbal is your word against theirs and, if they are offering to pay you to put together land owners for a unit, I would want it in writing.

Janna,
I asked a friend of mine (from Shelby County) for info on Samson Lone Star (Cinco). He says they have a "bulldozer mentality" towards land owners and to stay away from them. Low offers, bad terms, no respect for owners.
Did you talk to them for your mother?
