For those of us out of state, give us updates as this thing moves through, that is until/if you lose electricity. We're hoping and praying this post stays empty. Also, if you are in the S. LA let us know how the evacuation went.

For those who post pictures/video, I'll feature them up top.

Hey Haynesville
Wanna keep up with evac?? Heres a DOTD camera in Opelousas where you can see northbound traffic from Lafayette...
DOTD camera

Here's a better webpage with more cameras....STATE MAP
looks vacant for the most part
Talked to my sister who lives in St. Charles Parish and she said the traffic was backed up on Hwy 90 for about 2 miles waiting to get on Hwy 3127 which leads to I-310 and then on to I-10 (this was at about 5 p.m.)
OMG....

I read these things from NWS all the time. This one sounds severe and scary.
Do you think Shreveport and Bossier can handle 15 inches of rain in 24 hours?
www.wwltv.com in New Orleans is broadcasting live.
Gov Jindal issues executive order to close several parish schools (caddo, bossier, webster, etc) on TUE and WED this week! To help use the school buses down south.
imagine that? busing people out...what a novel idea
Thank goodness we don't have to watch dead bodies floating around in New Orleans streets this time.

Thanks for posting the link...I'm sure that there are a lot of moms that need to know this. I haven't been able to figure out how to post links/photos yet! But I will.
Mom I just saw the channel 12 news, webster was not listed as closed for tues and wed.
It was listed in the executive order from Gov Jindal?????? Channel 12 needs to jump on this!
