Anyone heard new news on this well?  Heard a rumor that they were going to stop production on this well for awhile.  Any truth to his rumor?

They've choked it to about 9 to 10 million a day for the last couple of months. I haven't heard anything about shutting it in. Where are you getting the rumor from?
Willy,

Spoke to someone the other day and he clarified the information. He told me the same thing as your reply.
On another note, what do you think is a fair lease bonus on 60 acres in section 23 T14N R9W of Red River Parish. I have a current offer, but it seems low. Do you know of any recent leases in this area? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There are several horizontals permitted in 14N,9W. You know you're probably "in the zone, so to speak. Going price near Ringgold seems to be in the 5 to 6 thousand range for bonuses. Companies are scouring records at the courthouse for unleased or leases running out. If you can get a little competition going, the price will go up. All that being said, map out the permitted and existing wells on Sonris in your township/range ,see where yours fits in, and go from there. Personally I'd rather have a larger percentage than a huge up front bonus. Hope this helps a little.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
