XTO did not buy HUNT OIL for nothing. There must be oil and gas in that there valley?????????

12500 deep, could this be the haynesville shale

Too much smoke there must be a fire, but will they take their time producing the CV field area.
Saw an interesting sign in CV just east of the school on Hwy 160. It said, H & P Production Flex Rig 221. A Conoco Phillips well is permitted to be drilled north of 160 in section 28, T 22 N, 10 W. I think the sign if for that location I will try to check this week.
I assume a flex rig means it can drill horizontally?

XTO is busy drilling all over the Cotton Valley Field.
Hollingworth Construction has a dirt pit across the road from me. They do most of XTO locations. Tuesday one of their dozer operators told me they were building a location on Marathon Rd (CVField) that was twice the size normal. He said they were supposed to drill 2 wells on that one site. I will post more as I find out more.

Well # 238772, sec. 23-T21-R10, drilling to depth 12000 ft. The thing I found interesting, this is the second location in that area that will be 2 wells drilled from same location. One well is 854' FSL & 792' FEL sec. 23, PBHL 432'FSL & 827' FWL sec. 24.

The other well was was listed by Har C2. It is 238780, sec.13-21-10 depth 12000 ft. 2079' FNL &1753' FWL of sec. 13, PBHL, 2126' FNL & 2463' FEL sec. 13.

What does the PBHL stand for? P Bore Hole L?
