OK, St. Mary either takes the "exploration" part of their name to heart or they have someone naming wells who has a sense of humor. After the Ironosa, they named the next well the "Lewis" and now they have the "Clark". I wonder what the next one will be... hmmm, how about some Texas frontiersmen? Travis and Bowie come to mind...

I have Heard and Seen :) Its a Secret :)
looks like they moved a rig in. guard at the gate, lots of trucks entering access road.
Is this about Ironosa 1-H, or Lewis 1-H, or Clark 1-H?

All news of current activity is welcome.
"Clark" should work out just fine. By a marvelous coincidence, it is the surname of my sister's three children who -- we hope -- may someday benefit from all this.
St. Mary has drilled the Crockett #1H up in Shelby County. They permitted the "Boone" #1H today. Maybe they will read Skip's post and name the next pair for Freeman and Custis! Could they use Austin and Travis? Nah, they weren't really a pair, were they?
Do you have API numbers or GPS locations for these wells? I am trying to follow the pattern of St. Mary Energy's exploration progress in this area, because of my interests, but I don't know how to find these numbers.

Thanks!
willis b.,

Boone #1H is 419-31608
Crockett #1H is 419-31570
Thanks! Should I have been able to find that by myself?
Willis, It depends on your familiarity with the W-1 search functions on TRRC. On the main search page, left had side... if you select Operator and in the drop down list choose "contains", you can them type in St. Mary. If you also select San Augustine County, you will get a list of every well permitted with St. Mary as operator. You can further define the search by choosing more limits, such as field or survey.

Thanks for the tips. Lots of good information about St. Mary Energy's current efforts.
looks like i was right that all you Bodines would get drilled on before your lease expires.
You were indeed right -- I remember your earlier comment -- and I have just been waiting for the moment! Now I must figure out what happens when they are in drilling progress on the date of lease expiration in March 2011. Do I need a local lawyer?

And I have an eye on my other lease, only a bit south of Ironosa #1-H, with same time of expiration. That's why I am trying, from Florida, to follow all this so carefully.

Thanks!
