I will say that b/c it just happened to me.. I just left a meeting, and was told by CHK (seen in email) 'The leases are null and void since we have not filed them'

I was at the same meeting. This is just not right what they are doing. Do you know if there is anything that we can do about getting the lease honored?

I also signed a lease with CHK in September and was told I would receive a bonus check in 4-5 business days. It now has been three weeks without a dime.

I signed with red river last week and was told up to 30 days, but normal is 15 to 18. What land company did you sign with? I'm a little nervous for you, me and everyone else waiting for a check. That could have been the landman talking crap. It would be good for folks waiting to let everyone no when they get it.

My property is in a pool with about 20 other tracks containing approx. 900 acres in north Sabine and southern DeSoto parishes. Our attorney got us a bid from XTO that we accepted but it has been four months now and still no money.

Right or wrong 15k was close enough for me. Now the offer has dropped to 5k if the check comes my wife will think I am smart for a change.

Hey KB ,
That "consideration paid" part is going to kick a lot of hind-end tho in the up coming months.

If a company went beyond their stated time slot on your draft, how difficult would it be for the mineral owner to get out of this mess ? From what I have heard in other discussions, They can actually file the lease haveing not paid you a penny and thus making any other interested parties think you are leased and avoid you like the plague.I know that you can get out of that , as I have read some of your thoughts on the matter before. The more I read about peoples problems with "Company Honorability" the more I know I wont be accepting a draft.

Hey Snake did see the news tonight about CHK And Fortress backing out of a20/25 deal and offering 2,500 well that's my area but I did not go with Fortress went to courthouse today and my lease has been recorded I signed for 20/25 do you I'm safe please advice so I can sleep tonight
