T17N, R13W, S34 Thanks, I'm watching developments closely because we're close to the T16 activity.
Thanks, I knew about the PHK activity for a few months, wondered if I needed to start watching the back door, too.
Jay . Could you check T16 R16 Sect. 17 ?
Thanks
Sue
yes last week sec31 t14n r15w
Desoto - Section 29, 15 -14 - I'm unleased & had a letter stuffed in my door offering $25 per acre to seismic test - I threw the letter in the trash. As a property owner who is prepared to be force pooled, what should I know about this "testing"??
Jay, I've got to correct you re: Camterra. They are Reaching TD in a horizontal Haynesville well drilling in 15/14 Section 9, specifically the Hall 9 #1. I gotta take up for them since this is the first H.H. that I have a personal interest in! If Chesapeake will cooperate with us and drill Section 32, it won't be the last one. What's the story on the Fossil well south of your farm. Did they ever complete it?
Jay, the hall#5 5-19n-15w is drilling horizontally in the smk. a depth I thought was ha. Is this because the ha hasn't been unitized?
Got a letter yesterday from CGG/Veritas requesting a permit to conduct a 3D survey in DeSoto Parish 20-12n-12w.
This company is a good one. They did survey on our land in Claiborne Parish. They must have 100% of the land owners' permission to do the survey and they paid us for the right. The young man who was in charge of it all was very nice and patient. We had about 6 people he had to contact, get the permission for permit signed, and send the checks to. My cousin's husband, who owns a company similar to CGG said this company was legit and very ambitious. Concerning that letter you got...CALL them and tell them you agree. They will pay you and you have no further obligation until someone approaches you with some kind of offer. GO FOR IT! NOTHING to lose.
Chesapeake came to my door requesting my participation in their seismic survey. I also received a letter and lease form in the mail. I wrote them back and told them If I catch them on my property I will promptly have them arrested. You don't breach a contract one month and then come back wanting to do seismic work the next. That's all I have to say about that.
I'm not a geologist, but my thinking is more participation would lead to more accuracy in the survey and consequently more accurate drilling. This, in turn, would lead to increased production which would lead to more cash for me the landowner.

Am I wrong?
You are not wrong. YOU WANT the geologist there. They just gather information. The more info they have, the more the companies interested will have and you will benefit. Let them do their surveys. But they must pay you for it; and all landowners on that parcel must agree and cooperate.
