Thanks Les for the post, looks like Sabine Parish is holding it's own in rig counts - being second to DeSoto - Skip made a post in the Sabine Parish Group that sounds very interesting - I would like your and Skip's opinion on that post! I appreciate your updates.

It's nice to know about rig counts and where wells are being drilled (shows what's going on now) but what about proposed  new wells?

Such as New well permits..

Wouldn't such info give an indication of direction of the possible future activity in the play?

Kind of like they do to show the direction of the home building industry by showing new building permits, being up or down, etc...

Might be nice to know if the number of new well permits are up or down from one month to the next month.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
