A happy day for America A sad Day for Democracy and Capitalism

I know this will probably get deleted and My Profile may also but here you go. Today was a triumph for some and a slap in the face for others. I am so sad that america has chosen this path that are for fathers faught so hard to protect. We have been lied to as american people. Democracy and capitalsim must come to an end. This may not be the end but a chapter in the book of History of this great nation. My Faith is in god, that he will not unleash anything we cant handle. This is the tourning point of what many of us know as normal. America is about to experience change, change that many of us want and many us dont. I dont understand the change, and I think none of us do. There is an empty spot inside of me with today with questions spinning around it. I just dont understand america, I just dont understand. He told you it was about to change, every time you read his name it was "CHANGE". I can promise you one thing, you may not like the change but he was honest, it will change! Yesterday is history as tomorrow is our future and our future will Change. God bless this great country, God Bless Democracy, God Bless Capitalism, God Bless Americam, God bless Barack Hussein Obama, God bless us all.

I'm stating that those you fear breaking into your home are probably more likely the supporters of the candidate you voted for.

Please, I know KB on a personal level and consider her a very good friend and although our politics are not always on the same page I have great admiration and love for her. We do bump heads quite a few times but even after it's all said and done we can share food together. I do not know your intentions but for all us who like sharing our thoughts and idea let's please refrain from anything that may sound like a threat.

Well, I'm back after fishing Sat. am and a full weekend.

I'm sorry I made the comment/joke the way that I did even though I still think Middle-American people, of which I consider myself one, are just as apt if not more to come to your aid, whether it be outside of a Walmart or elsewhere. There was no personal threat at all in my reply to you, but I shouldn't have taken your ridicule of me about hunting and shooting fish anymore than the ridicule it was intended. In my opinion, there has been enough name calling and ridicule on both sides in the past few months to last a lifetime. You'd think we'd all spend more energy and thought on things that tend to improve our days rather than create ill will. For others who were upset, I'm sorry as well.

Anyone can take some ribbing and then try to bend it to suit what purposes they have but I think most people understood the point I was trying to make.

I wish you well, but I still think all of this political back and forth had no part in an O&G forum. I'm similar to most people (I think) who don't like to be teased about family, God, recreation, raising our kids one way or the other, sex in schools and on and on. And that doesn't even get us to the politics part. Heck, I'm like most everyone else, I wish I knew who Obama was before the election too. I do wish him well. I hope he governs from the center, and I guess we'll just see. I hope you're right about him.

Point well taken. You just are able to express yourself better than me, even with what appeared ridicule towards me. Dorcheated says that he knows you far better than most of us. That's good enough for me.

Hey, it's not just us here in the forum....my older brother and I (along with the rest of the family) disagree profoundly about a lot of politics as well. I love him but I have to tolerate him too. By the way, he hunts and fishes far more than I do, and is better at it.

Anyway, thank you for accepting my apology (sometimes people find even accepting apologies difficult).

From here on out, I will let others continue the debate and I will start to spend some time wood carving some things for our grandkids as the holidays approach. Again, sorry about the poor wording on my part.

We probably would find that we have far more in common in our two lives if we just had time to dig into that.

Maybe with the election over, people will see a greater need to find similarities among us, rather than the other.

Earl, you must have just joined this forum. We've been argueing since Haynesville put politics on this O&G forum, which I thought he shouldn't.

Even an idiot could see the teasing in my post with KB. People target practice out of fear by and large. Frankly, I think it's probably not a bad idea with the crime that's going on. There's more fear in this world than there is danger, but it's still not a bad idea to be prepared.

I'm not destitute. If KB even owns a home, there's nothing in it that I need even if I had the slightest idea where it was. Haynesville promised everyone anonymity.

You obviously are quite unaware of the federal government's sophisticated web crawlers and data extractors that patrol the internet and your emails 24/7. Just look through the transcripts of some federally prosecuted crimes and see just what was used as evidence.

BTW, to try to suggest your threat was a joke is pathetic. I've seen you go at KB before on a personal level. ANd when a reasonable minded person reads the dialogue that led up to your threat, they will see there was no left wing right wing discussion going on.

You are a danger to this site and just a plain putz.

Did you get a load of the other parishes around Caddo that were close by 10% or less? I'm stunned. Funny thing to me was how Bossier was so heavily in favor of McCain. Even though there's a heavy military presence, it's also very multicultural.
