Checking to see since the Discovery Well in Angelina County was drilled if any update on any more activity planned for this county?  Our Family has mineral rights in Section A-19 and was contacted in past by Encana and Tyler group that was low balling everyone on leasing, but was stopped at end of progress when they pulled the plug.

Mike,  How is the Henderson well's production.  I was hoping that this would be the well that might get leaseing going in the area.

Mike, Thanks for the quick and informative response.  Sounds like a good time to be a mineral owner in South Angelina!
I am in the McClure survey and was contacted yesterday about leasing my 10 acres,  this is the area between Marions Ferry Rd FM1669 and Harley Golden Rd.  The landman said they were leasing this whole V shaped piece of land.  I was wondering if anyone knows the going rate,  since we are so close to the SW Henderson well.  My neighbor leased land on Marions Ferry Rd last week.  This is being leased by representatives of Phillips Petroleum if this helps.
Thanks for the reply back.  They have made an offer and I told them I wanted to research and study knowing that I would not accept it.  It is not at the level that Ol' Vet was talking about.  I figure it will be a little bit drawn out and am trying to get together with all the neighbors so that we are all on the same page.  Most of us are smaller tracts but a few big ones mixed in and figure with us all on the same page with around 150 acres we should have a shot at a better deal.
Does anyone know how the Nelson well is doing?
If you are approached to sell 5 - 7 acres for a drilling rig, and already have all the minerals leased to that company, would it be okay to sell the land to the gas co.?

Karen,

If you want to sell the surface, there is no problem with that. You will want to make sure and reserve the minerals when you deed the property, as you do not want to sell the minerals.  Most likely they would want to lease 5 to 7 acres of your surface and not buy it, but you never know.  Sam

P.S. What company are you dealing with and what area is your property in?

Goodrich, and property is in Etoile,  off 226.  Would it be okay to sell as long as you have the minerals reserved?

Yes, just make sure when you convey the property there is language in the deed to reserve 100% of your minerals.
