KOH, the $3.93 was for December NYMEX gas contract (not wellhead) but is not relevant until expiration price of the December contract occurs near the end of November. Any value shown before then for the December contract will constantly change and is not relevant.
Once the expiration price for the December NYMEX contract is known, then you could subtract 12 cents to get an approximate market area price for East Texas pipelines. Further deductions from that may be required to get a wellhead price.
By the way, the October NYMEX contract expired at $3.524 so East Texas area market price would be ~ $3.40/MMBtu.

Samson did the road, pad, pits on my place then pulled out..then I read on site they looking to sell company or get partner.. Land man says they are going to drill 3 wells on my place. But.....he didn't mention they were selling. I am in waiting to see what going to happen mode now.
Just as soon the gas stays in the ground as to sell for $3.50

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
