was told flowing csg pressure is 3600psi and making 3.0mcfd of gas and he would only say that they were excited about the oil recovery....???
Permalink Reply by Barbara Keene on July 21, 2012 at 11:16 Thanks for sharing Whodat. I know very little about gas wells. Can you tell me if 3mcfd is a signicifant amount of gas? I am encouraged to hear the excitement on the oil recovery. I hope the BML is a marker for the Brown Dense. I would love to see North Louisana and Southern AK prosper in the oil business.
3 million cubic feet of gas per day is a decent amount for example the average well for the fayetteville shale produces around 2.0mcfd ( I tested the fayettville wells for about 3 years)

Permalink Reply by Rock Man on July 21, 2012 at 15:14 Has there been any projections yet as to decline rates for the Brown Dense?
Are they anticipated to be similar to those seen in other unconventional reservoirs (e.g. Eagle Ford and Haynesville) where there is a 70 to 80% production decline over the first year?
Thanks for any comments on this

Mike,

Permalink Reply by B Kenner on July 24, 2012 at 7:34 Thanks Obed~ I was there this weekend. I watch the flare from about six miles away and it was really bright. You could her the roar that sounds like a huge cutting torch too.
How long can they flare all that gas? Has anyone heard if there is a plan in the works to run a pipeline to capture that NG and sell it.
Permalink Reply by Somethin like a boss on July 24, 2012 at 8:42 I know SWN plans to lay an 8in from what ive heard that will tie in all the gas from the future wells in that area to go to a plant in dubach.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
