was told flowing csg pressure is 3600psi and making 3.0mcfd of gas and he would only say that they were excited about the oil recovery....???
Thanks for sharing Whodat. I know very little about gas wells. Can you tell me if 3mcfd is a signicifant amount of gas? I am encouraged to hear the excitement on the oil recovery. I hope the BML is a marker for the Brown Dense. I would love to see North Louisana and Southern AK prosper in the oil business.
3 million cubic feet of gas per day is a decent amount for example the average well for the fayetteville shale produces around 2.0mcfd ( I tested the fayettville wells for about 3 years)
Has there been any projections yet as to decline rates for the Brown Dense?
Are they anticipated to be similar to those seen in other unconventional reservoirs (e.g. Eagle Ford and Haynesville) where there is a 70 to 80% production decline over the first year?
Thanks for any comments on this
None of that information has been released yet Mark. Maybe we'll get some new info with the Aug 3rd conference call from SWN.
Mike,
have you heard any new flowback numbers???
Latest SONRIS Lite report (7/24/2012): 7/23/12, WELL CONTINUING TO FLOW BACK FRAC FLUIDS. RUNNING IN HOLE TO DO A BOTTOM HOLE PRESSURE TEST.

Thanks Obed~ I was there this weekend. I watch the flare from about six miles away and it was really bright. You could her the roar that sounds like a huge cutting torch too.
How long can they flare all that gas? Has anyone heard if there is a plan in the works to run a pipeline to capture that NG and sell it.
I know SWN plans to lay an 8in from what ive heard that will tie in all the gas from the future wells in that area to go to a plant in dubach.
Latest SONRIS Lite report for BML well (7/31/2012):
07/30/12: RUNNING 2-3/8" & 2-7/8" TUBING W/ WORK OVER RIG. 07/30/12: WELL CONTINUES TO FLOW BACK FRAC FLUIDS.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
