Anadarko also seems to be playing in the Madisonville West Field (Brazos Co.)
Barrow Shaver
Burke
Anadarko has been in Brazos and Robertson counties for years drilling Buda/Georgetown & Austin Chalk wells. Clayton Williams is another in that same area.
Received an update today on interest by Halcon in Polk Co--said 2 permits should hit RR site soon-plans are to drill 2 horizontal sites in March which are slightly northeast of Livingston. If these are good they '"will be here for years". Its always wait and see.
Famcor, Unit Petroleum, ONEOK, Kinder Morgan, W&T Offshore
Dbob,
What is ONEOK involvement in Eaglebine ? I thought they were just an out of state carrier of NG & Liquified NG etc. that had to pass through East Texas on their way to market ?
I was under the impression that ONEOK was going to provide some takeaway capacity with the Sterling III line. I better recheck the investor presentations.
BBX Operating, Apollo Energy, Woodbine Acquisition Corp
Silver Oaks Energy
Border to Border is worth watching in Jasper County [Woodbine], along with Pantha Bayou who are to drill into the Wilcox in Jasper.
Energy & Exploration Partners buys Chesapeake acreage, output
April 15 (Reuters) - Energy & Exploration Partners Inc said on Monday it has acquired oil and gas acreage and some producing wells in east Texas from Chesapeake Energy Corp.
No purchase price was disclosed and a call to privately held Energy & Exploration was not immediately returned.
Chesapeake plans to sell up to $7 billion of its oil and natural gas properties this year to help fill a funding shortfall.
Energy & Exploration said it bought 57,275 acres and 11 producing wells in the Woodbine/Eagle Ford formation.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
