I couldn' get onto SONRIS earlier, but will try again. Are you in 26-17-12 or 27-17-12?
Just what I heard - will let you know for sure as soon as I can check.
I beleive 27-17-12 is held by production.
I checked today with the clerk of court and she said we were in 26-17-12. Does that help?
Last well in 26-17-12 was drilled in 1967 and did not produce.

If you have owned your house for more than 10 years - you probably own your minerals.

If it was every leased with the Skannal property it is a small chance that a previous lease could hold your property by production.

Sorry that I cannot give you a 100%. It seems like even the very best OG attorneys can't say 100% when it comes to minerals.
Hi Terry Allen,
If you live in Shadow Ridge and purchased from Purple Plum (the Waggoner's corp.) you do not own minerals.

I looked up the Deed from Sligo Enterprises to Purple Plum Propertys recorded 10-13-2004, in the Deed Sligo Enterprises (Bamburg) reserved the minerals.

I can't provide more information without description of the property.

You can e-mail me if you don't want to disclose personal info here.
Parker, thanks for the information. I heard that well that dried up was capped off 12 years ago for lack of production.

We did not purchase our land from Purple Plum Propertys. We bought our lot from another individual. He purchased these lots back in 1997.

From what I gathered from my neighbors, we do own our mineral rights. I also have a landman that's a friend of mine that's checking into it. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Correct on the well, that is what I said it did not produce.

If he didn't reserve mineral rights when he sold them to you you should have them.

I'm hoping you do.

Good Luck.

I have mineral rights on 5 acres close to there, I have stated to the Orchard folks that I would join them. You may want to consider joining them too.

Strenght in numbers.
Thanks for the offer. We've hooked up with a guy off of Caplis. We are up to 175 acres. Right now our offers are coming in it $15,000.
If anyone is living in 27-17-12, the last well was capped and abandoned in 1983. So no production since then.

Skannal did reserve all mineral rights when he sold Sections 26 and 27 to Dennis Bamburg, but again there has been no production in either section for at least 12 years. Just a FYI.
Terry Allen,

I am one of the individuals within the Orchard and would be interested to find out where the 175 acres are you speak of. Given our close proximity we should consider all options to include joining forces. We are also up to 15k from EnCana (no plan to accept this), and I just learned through research that they are now being backed by Shell, which may mean a little "deeper pockets". EnCana wants our area under lease as they are looking to drill within the next few months (word of mouth) given the results of the recent Elm Grove rig.

Please let me know. Thanks
Hi SoBoRes, the person you need to contact is John Provost, he lives off of Caplis-Sligo. Most of the 175 acres is off of Caplis (Shadow Ridge, Bobbie Lane, etc...). His number is 208-4164. He is working with three oil companies to get the best deal. Kinda like playing one off the other.
