Lest We Forget! Dem's Desire "Socialized" Energy Sector

Hmmm... wonder if royalty owners mineral rights would be absorbed via "Emminent Domain"?

Wonder if Maxine Waters will renew her desires once gasonline prices start rising?

Snake,
I'm glad you have met my shrink.
Hey DCH,
Shouldnt we get a team discount or something ?
Snakester,
If we can't get the discount, we will just have to wait for the free stuff
Dorcheated Al: sorry, man. There was just a bit too much finger shoving goin' on by a certain member and I jumped you for no good reason other than you were there.
Bob,
You bring good reading to the table my friend. No need to apologize. Please feel free to jack me anytime!!
Ah, now i understand; you and I were talking for two different reasons about the same issue, racism, thus explaining my lack of comprehension of your POV. I interjected to prove the fallacy of the question that Jay Murrell repeatedly posted on this thread to Jim Krow which, in one form or another was, "is everyone who disagrees with you a racist?" I borrowed some definitions of racism from some folks that you revealed are themselves biased or inflammatory. I did not endorse any one or more of the authors' definitions; I merely showed that a variety of definitions exist (also just to take up a whole lot of space in the hopes that the obvious inflammatory purposes of Jay Murrell would get doused, but he's like a gnat: small, annoying & relentless). To be clear, my personal view is that everyone is prejudiced. In my view: persons of all walks of life and party affiliation are non-inflammatory racists; just as persons of all walks of life and party affiliation are the inflammatory kind. Example: David Duke--he's donned every party hat. Thus, the answer to the ridiculous question Murrell repeatedly posted (which by the way, wholly perverted Jim Krow's original response which Murrell contorted to his own agenda) is of course yes. But, it's not "yes" in the sense that only those who disagree are racist. It's yes in the sense everyone is prejudiced.
I agree with your POVs, except this: dissertations with which we disagree are not by that standard bird cage liners. Often, it is those dissertations that cause us to think better, thus proving their worth beyond lining bird cages. Also your use of interlineation with regard to women's rights is a bit inflammatory and off topic, but even without your having stated your views, you implied what they are and I respect them.
Bob,
Dissertations don't cause me to think better, interacting with different races and religions do. Education is overated, common sense is not, just look at Washington.
Education is not overrated. But nor is common sense. But, each person learns in whatever manner they are best suited. Life experiences are as important as studies. Don't make me look at Washington right now which is evidencing a lack of education and common sense; and too much clinging to elected seats by those who believe they're entitled to have those jobs by political partisan bullshit and freakish sideshows. It's hard enough to sidestep the freak shows to get to the real issues.

I agree wholeheartedly, Bob. I was just referencing Edwardos body of work, plethora of bias. A litany of hatred aimed at "White America", used to try and justify his own bigotry.

...."To be clear, my personal view is that everyone is prejudiced."

When broken down far enough for those of us that are scholastically challenged, I understand now what you were implying. I dont grasp, willingly or unwillingly, the whole notion of "non inflammatory racism" but I do agree that most battle prejudices in one form or another. Homeless people seem to be at the top of many a persons list. As do peeps with different religious doctrines or mantras. Political affiliation seems to be quite appropriate to mention at this time as well. :-)

I may or may not have an issue with these listed. If I did tho, it would certainly make me prejudicial, but not racist. Unless my prejudice was due to a problem I had with someone because of a difference in ethnicity.

This may seem like a simple play on words to you. It could be for that matter. But the "inflammatory definition" of racism, has caused me to try and live my life without ever having that tag placed on me.
That tag has never been placed on you snake. You are as laid back on the race issue as anyone on this site, keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks 2Dogs. I have to constantly force myself to strive toward the Golden Rule. I dont always make it but I guess each of us have some sort of hangup that we battle. Some seem to be larger then others hangups but they are hangups none the less.

I believe that it is imperative for me , to limit any disdain, anger, discontent or prejudice of any nature , to people that have control over whatever is offensive to me. It is a complete waste of time to get worked up over something that cant be controlled by the other "offending" party. I wouldnt want anybody to dislike me because I was a short, fat, mouthy white boy, whose family was predisposed to male pattern baldness. Much less , blame everybody else because of it.

A Native American man/woman has no more control over his/her birth, then I have control over my height.
If I have issue with something that an individual has/is doing, that negatively affects me or mine, I cant hold the entire race responsible for that individuals actions. I guess I could, since that in essence is what racism is, but it isnt right to do so.

Have a good one 2D!

P.S. I am down about 38 lbs since we last met. Hopefully in another 6 months I will just be a short, mouthy white boy who may or may not go bald. Well, I need to try to work on the mouthy part a bit more as well but one project at a time. All work and no play makes Snake a dull boy. :-)

Peace out,
Snake
Well thank you KB, that was sweet.
I too have enjoyed our occassional joust. Good debate and thoughtful discussion helped forge those fledgling colonies into the greatest nation ever.Learning cant take place if you continue to cover material that you already know. You have taught me much.

But I wouldnt worry your pretty little head too much about ole Snakester wastein' away. (LOL)
You may be able to reach all the way around me if we have a group hug next time we get together.
