Hunter, I have been told this means the well is close to being online. Basically the state (LA) is figuring out how much production can come from the well without draining the field prematurely. It is in the state's best interest for the well to produce for many years due to the taxes paid on the gas. If I'm wrong, hopefully someone will correct me. If this well is in your section and you are leased, expect a royalty check in about 3 months. It looks like it was fractured in 10 stages. That should be a good producer but don't quit you day job. Good luck and congratulations.
Cannie is probably about right in his prediction, the division orders usually come about three months after the state potentials the well.
Here is the latest posting on sonris for well serial #238702.

COMPLETED 3-15-09; GAS; HAYNESVILLE RA; 5733 MCFD; 20/64 CHOKE; 3980# CP; PERFS 11,574-15,896' MD; 11,403-11,470' TVD

Can anyone tell us what this means??
Thanks
HH, this means the well had an initial flow rate of 5733 Mcfd with a flowing pressure of 3980 psi. I didn't see any problems listed during the drilling of the well so I think Chesapeake would have anticipated a higher flow rate. It is possible the well is still cleaning up and rate could get higher.

Chesapeake, Mercer 30 #H1 Well, Serial #238702, S30-T11N-R14W
Thanks,
I guess we will just have to wait & see & pray it goes higher!
Hunter Hillbilly,
Amen to that! Had earlier reports on the Comstock Well S-12 T-10 R-15 had IP rates of 11.6 MMcfd (helpful info from LesB). That sounds alot stronger number for the area. I wonder why production rates can vary so, in locations as close as these are. Is that typical?
Shelby
Shelby, I believe initial rates between wells (and operators) should become more consistent over time as more wells are drilled and completion techniques improve.
Les B,
Do you have any info on pipeline infrastructure in and around T-11 R-15; I have been hearing that it looks pretty good in that area, as regards getting any gas out? We are close to Mills Rd, off 191.
Thanks,
Shelby
Hey Shelby-----There is a 12 inch pipe line coming across the Mills Road as we speak. It looks like most of the wells in 11-15 will be tied into this 1 line and then it will go north on an established row at the corner of sec17 and sec 18.
Fox,
Hope things are working out well for you; thanks for the update on new lines going in; hopefully CHK will get going with the seismic shoot for the area soon, and then we will have to wait and see.
Thanks,
Shelby
Shelby---the seismic crew is down your and my way right now.
Yesterday I noticed a different stake that they had put down in a line approx. 500 ft apart. This is the line that shows on the plat they gave me of my property, that will be drilled and blasted. I dont know if they are on yours yet, but if not they are close.
Shelby, no specific information but would assume Chesapeake will make sure they get the gathering system installed in a timely fashion. Much of that network should eventually tie into the new Tiger Pipeline (42") since Chesapeake has 1 Bcfd of firm capacity.
