Has anyone been contacted by Petro Canyon Energy
My cousins in California who along with my brother and I have property near the present north Caddo activity were contacted by a Chris Haynes from an organization called Petro Canyon Energy. Their offer for the land was a very low $500 an acre bonus with 1/5th royalty for 5 years. I did a Google search and found ONE entry for this "company" at 555 Republic Dr # 111, Plano, TX which list a Daniel B Jones. More research indicates that Daniel B Jones is an attorney whose address is the same as Petro Canyon Energy. Has anyone been contacted by these people?

I haven't heard of them. I ran them in Caddo and they haven't filed anything. I also looked them up on Sonris and didn't notice them as operators on a well. Which isn't a major suprise with an offer like that. They are possibly looking to buy leases to flip. I would suggest you shop around for more favorable terms.

I believe a fellow named Cody Campbell is involved with Petro Canyon Energy. Last August, he and another guy operated through entities called Lone Star Land Development and 64 Development. There is an earlier thread of discussions about Mr. Campbell and these entities, which can be found by searching "Cody Campbell".
