I was recently approach by Petrohawk to amend a lease that I send with them. They would like to drill into the Haynesville Zone instead of the prescribed footage. Has anyone else been contacted about this?

EOG Resources as been leasing a very large area in South Arkansas. Their brokers are real assholes, but I wanted to find out how the company is to work with. I didn't know if they are operating in DeSoto Parish.
Yes, EOG is leasing in DeSoto Parish, but mine is not the HS. It's from a previous lease that they say started with my great-grandfather in 1946. They claim that they did not know how to get in touch with me, but strangely, they got in touch with me in 2006 and 2007 when they needed to put in a new right of way and possibly an alt well at the time they said for BP. I called them just by happenstance trying to track down some BP information and I got "oh, I'm glad you called, we did not know how to get in touch with you, We've had funds in a suspense account since 2005". Get real, they find you when they want to or need to, but since they've been making interest off of suspense royalties, why would they contact me now.
I would ask EOG for interest. You should be entitled to it.
