Go to east 80oilandgas.com and talk to them I think you are their area. They are at 17,500.00 right now.
Are you stating they have offers for $17,500 for the entire group?
Has an O&G company said they would give them 17,500.00 an acre ?
I know that is what they are going to ask for but did not know a company had offered them that amount. Which company are they dealing with ?
Thanks..
Has anyone heard they are going to drill a gas well in the Haughton city limits on W. McKinley ? I KNOW one of the big O&G companies went door to door offering 15,000.00 an acre.
Last I heard, they hadn't recieved offers yet & are still gathering their group & getting their ducks in a row...
That is the last I heard too. I just have a hard time believing an O&G company would buy leases that were strung out all the way from Bellevue road to Hwy 157 and not all in one section. That would be GREAT if they did though, especially at 17,500 an acre !
i look at like this there going to get it all in the end and every thing that i have learned about this is all about how many acres do you have. so i really like this group because were going to need all the protection we can get and the more people that stick together the better off our community will be during the next several decades. were also in section 17 but there are some from 20 in this group to.
From the last I heard that is what they are asking I could be wrong... Yea It would be great!!!!!
The section I heard the O&G company was leasing up is section 20 in Haughton.
I cannot remember if it was Petrohawk or Chesapeake but I do know for a fact they came to my friend's door on W. McKinley and gave them 15,000.00 an acre. They said it was a one time offer. There is plenty of open land behind the houses to place a well on either side of the road. I think it is going to be in the area where the big curve is on W. McKinley if I was to make a guess. That would be GOOD NEWS for the landowners in section 20 ! Unfortunately, I am in section 17, just one section north
:( :(
I am in East 80 Coalition and the landmen will say anything to get everyones lease as low as possible. The min. we want is 17,500, Plus we want clauses in our contract to protect the environment and our family, we dont want to leave a mess for the next generation to have to clean up. More and more people are signing up with us, everyone should check out our website www.east80oilandgas.com. Eric and Robert are being bombarded with calls, so they post all the information on the website, there is a lot of information that may pertain to you. Check it out, they are very kind and are not asking for a percentage of your bonus check. Right now they do need some donations to pay for the website, copies, ink...etc Which is not much considering the alternative.
I agree 100% with you Traci. Eric and Robert are putting all their effects in this. They have alot of Haughton behind them and will help out without asking questions. Eric and Robert are are trying to do whats what best for us and the eco. And like they said WE HAVE STRENGTH IN NUMBERS.
My question is why would any O&G company be interested in buying leases that were strung out all the way from Bellevue road to Hwy 157 ? They are looking to get and complete whole sections of land and not just bits and pieces here and there. I do not imagine they are going to want to buy everyone's lease. And I have heard they have passed on several coalitions because of just that.
