    Lets get some results posted!
  • jffree1

    You got some?
  • Wish You Knew

Word on the street is that the Encana well that did so go is hardly anything nowadays..
  • Wish You Knew

Something else... XTO said anything about a Scorpion unit to the east of the butler rooney? Remember the Butler? 30+million cfd.....
  • reallyoldguy

Wish You Knew: Where did you get the report on the Butler Rooney? Also, I assume you're referring to EnCana's Blackstone A-43 1-H? Any idea what the flow rate of that well, presently, is? Or if they're having problems with the well?
  • Wish You Knew

I got the report of the butler rooney on here I believe!!! The initial report of the flow rate of the Blackstone A43 was... And you can believe this or not... was 3 times what it is doing choked. Now its hardly putting a million out. JUST FYI Don't have to believe it.
  • jffree1

WYK, the Encana well production figures don't support what you are hearing. May was 397,411 Mcf (partial month) and June was 474,540 Mcf. Rather than buy into street talk, I prefer to wait for the production report.
  • reallyoldguy

Jffree1:There is no report from the Butler Rooney as of yet. Correct?
  • Janna

can anyone explain what the chokes mean and the differences mean in laywomens launguage?
  • DJG

Janna, Think of the well head like a garden hose. The tighter the choke (smaller the fraction, i.e. 12/64 versus 32/64 etc.) means that the "garden hose" is partially closed off to limit the amount of gas allowed to exit the well. With the low price of gas currently, and with recent studies showing that a restricted choke might improve the long-term health of the well, many operators are choosing to "choke down" the wells production and restrict the flow.

You can buy whatever you like Jfree. Just stating what the landmen are telling me.
  • jffree1

That sort of "Landman talk" has been put out to dampen expectations in the area they are actively leasing. So, you can repeat it if you want to but you are helping to suppress lease bonus... so you decide. If you are a landowner you might not want to spread that talk but if you are buying leases, that is just the sort of talk I would expect you to perpetuate.
  • Karen Perry Kent

    What about the Greer well?
  • jffree1

Which one? Greer Gas Unit #1H is in J. J. Hennis and the Viney Greer OU A #1H is in V. Greer, A-517.
  • Wish You Knew

    :) A43 is a bad well.
  • jffree1

Greer Gas Unit #1H IP was 7.584 MMcfd from the Angie (James Lime). First production was in May.

Wanting to sell 30 acres with 100% Minerals.
  • farmbrad

Really, you're wanting to sell 30 acres w/ 100% minerals. The other day you represented yourself as an Encana spokesperson. You have written about a geological feature unique to San Augustine Co that could prove devastating to some mineral owners. You have stated the Blackstone A43 1H has crapped out. Overall, I have taken your messages to be very negative towards mineral owners. Now you want to sell minerals? Your posts have me thoroughly confused but I'm not a very smart guy.
  • Wish You Knew

This business is very confusing and to weed through the bullcrap is another story... As for the geological feature unique to San Augustine..I'm not sure where your coming from.
  • 5thGenTexan

    Wish You Knew,
Where is the 30 acres that is for sale?
  • Wish You Knew

    Sold.
  • Wish You Knew

I see the Scorpion unit just got posted on the RRC site....Finaly
  • farmbrad

    Wish You Knew,
I apologize for the "feature" accusation. I just researched the discussions & it was someone called "Just Saying" not you. If you really are associated with Encana, Oct 3rd we have 12 months left by contract to be included in a unit. Are we going to be? Wish I Knew...
  • Doug Fitzgerald

And I have 22 acres leased to EOG with just over 8 months left just east of the line of the Walters unit.
Also have 6 acres with 4.5 mineral acres in EW Brown just south of the MCKinney unti unleased. Only offer was from EOG at only $850.00 per acre which I declined.
  • ronda and bruce

I hope that no one is even CONSIDERING such a lowball $$. As i have said before..do THEY think we are IDIOTS?????? i am insulted...not greedy, just want what is fair...and my answer,(if i ever get approached, that is) is right up there with ya, Doug!!!!
  • jffree1

Doug, gather all your facts concerning the producing wells, what their IP was and how close they are to your property... for the next lease offer. An informed owner will usually be able to command a higher bonus and better terms. Also, if you don't like the offer, have a figure in mind to counter with. That gives them something to work with rather than just a refusal and having to guess at what your price is. I know you probably already know all of this but it was a good place to reiterate for those who may not.
  • Wish You Knew

You got to get leased in order to get units :)
  • JWC

Next Update to the TRRC Web Page San Augustine will be a core county.
  • Martha McWhiney

Gotchi well or something like that I believe
  • jffree1

Martha, Crimson has the Grizzly which is complete and the Gobi which should be completing any time now. They will put out a press release when they get an IP on it.
  • JWC

  • Johnnie Joe

    Core county now. Sweet. Thanks!
  • Sanoakey

the rig is up at the Scropions Unit now
  • Wish You Knew

Whats the going rate for northern san augustine county leases? Better yet. What is the current XTO lease offer out there?

    Thanks everyone!
  • Ray

What is the benefit of being a 'core county'? What does it mean to be a 'core county'?
  • jffree1

I saw a Halliburton crew heading East through San Augustine (town) on Hwy. 21 this afternoon. Anyone have a guess which well they were going to? The choices are Halbert 1H, Marvin Hardy GU 1H, Williams-Chumley 1H and Griffin, R. GU 1H.
  • Mason

The Halliburton crew is working at the Williams-Chumley well.
  • jffree1

Thank you Mason. Is the pipeline finished out that way? I drove out 21 to Sabine County on Monday and it looked like just some cleanup work on the ROW.
  • Johnnie Joe

I'm not exactly sure what the RRC considers a "Core County" but normally words like "Core" and "Tier I" mean that there is an area within that formation that has the highest potential for gas production. The formation might be thicker, produce better, have higher pressures, etc. However they determine it, it sounds better to be a core county than non-core for sure! Maybe someone else knows the exact definition???
  • GoRicky

Johnnie Joe: I believe you're right!
  • jffree1

Watch for a press release from Crimson.
  • A.C.123

On Crimson's investor page states drilling the Blue #1 north of the Grizzly by 1 1/2 miles and west of Kardell 1 1/2 miles. Anyone heard of any site location yet?
"The Crimson Blue #1 (58.3% WI), located in the Bruin Prospect area, is expected to spud following the completion of drilling on the Bengal #1 and will target either the Haynesville Shale or Mid-Bossier Shale formations. The Blue #1 is expected to reach total measured depth by early first quarter 2011 with completion operations to begin shortly thereafter. The Blue #1 is approximately 1.5 miles north of the Grizzly #1 and approximately 1.5 miles west of the Kardell #1."
  • A.C.123

Found the Blue on RRC thanks
  • Wish You Knew

No new wells for a certain company in SA for 2011...... Can you guess?
  • ALongview

    Devon?
  • JWC

So is ALongview right Wish You Knew or Do You Know?
  • ALongview

That is who he said it was JWC. I don't much like the guessing games but WYK seems to enjoy it. I believe that if you have info that might benefit another landowner then you should share it freely or keep your "keyboard" shut.
  • JWC

I agree ALongview. Any information anyone has that they can share might help someone who has leased or who has not leased. That is what this sight is for.
