i read your comment to Jay. SEI also contacted us but that was back in Oct/Nov and we signed with them for the same amount and time frame....fyi!
  • Natch N3

landowner, i do know that Chesapeake hired SEI to do the shoot across my property. It says in my contract, if I were to sell my property or mineral rights during the contract period, I must notify them immediately and that the new owner or heir will be held by this contract for the time period expressed. I do not think it holds you down so that you can't lease.

Where is your property bc i'm trying to get an idea of where they are covering. SEI told me about three weeks ago that they contracted with Ches to do this enormous area but wasnt specific the area..haha
  • Natch N3

oh...and the also said they will be on my area property first week in august and completely done with their entire enormous area by the end of the year
  • Natch N3

thanks for the info landowner, let me know what you decide!
  • Natch N3

    My land is located
Township 12 N, Range 6W, Section 12 in Natchitoches Parish. Look at your contract and tell me if #12 says anything about if you were to sell, transfer etc.....
  • Natch N3

that is good news..and im glad he confirmed what i thought....wishing us both good fortune!
  • Melinda

Thank you for replying to my question on the Bienville page. I was asking because we signed about seven weeks ago with Chesapeake. Our land is west of Ringgold. After the Elm Grove well Petrohawk made us a very good offer but we had already signed. I was trying to see what the current offers were at this time. Thanks
  • Melinda

Where is you land? Section, Township and Range?
  • Melinda

I think we are west of you. We signed with Chesapeake for $4,750.00 per acre for 156 acres. This was before the Elm Grove well hit. I have heard rumors in my area of 30K per acre, cannot confirm that. Please be patient, sure wish we had, give this some time and I believe the offers will increase in your area. Melinda

Are you above 154 and Jamestown.

Just seeing how the map works.

    Spread the word.
  • Har C2

    Notice:

Haynesville asked me to refine the maps a little in order to ID the Parish(s) better.

Consequently, I added Bn in front of each region number in Bienville. Sorry but Haynesville is right that explains where you are located more efficiently.

    Thanks for your consideration.

I am in Bienville @Section 1-16N-10W. Today I was offered 17,000 an acre with 25% for a 5 year lease from Petrohawk. I also recieved a letter from Chesapeake today atating they wanted to discuss leasing my land. :)

Landowner Bn2: this is the newest information i got from the seismic company working on my land....

just as a follow up on the seismic front in Natch Parish. I heard from my seismic company today and this is what they told me.....

We are currently surveying and drilling in that area, and throughout that township (which is 12). Our current plan is that recording crews will be there between October 1st and November 30th, depending upon how fast they proceed.

So, that is the lates time frame i was able to obtain through the company doing work in my area....

    keep me posted!!!

The HS Locator map came from the Shale to Shining Shale report by Deutsch (sp?) Bank. A link to the complete report is in the "Hayensville do I hear 50,000.?" thread. It's a must read analysis of over a dozen shale plays in the US, featuring our very own HS. My jaw kept dropping everytime statistics and projections for the HS were mentioned.
  • Natch N3

hey, hope you have been doing well.

Seismic, well this is what i've been told the crews will be on my property this week. I live out of state but my uncle lives on property joining mine so he will give me the update once he sees them working. I'll definitely keep you posted. We had 2D shoots done back in the 80's and I was told they know that oil/gas is there the 3D shoot will just give them a better indication and because even with the depths it is economically profitable to produce than it was back in the 80's of course.

Let me know when you see them visiting you!

  • Natch N3

they have already finished laying the lines and filling the holes another crew is due to come through before the end of the month and do the blasting or whatever it is called. They said we'd know they were there because of the helicopters and such. So, you need to be keeping a look out your way!!!!

I'm talking with KCS Resources which is Petrohawk I believe. Just not getting that warm and fuzzy feeling about this transaction. I have a call into our attorney in Shreveport who works in the oil and gas industry to get his input.
  • Jim 007

Landowner, I spoke to one of the guys working ahead of the crews today, he was from Canada org. now lives in Columbia. He stated that the o/g people are very excited about the shoot in this area. I have only just begun to learn about the industry tho I have been watching it here in nw La for 3 years now. I stay on the road 5-6 days a week, and I get to see alot of the 10 parishes in n/w La. I would love to see people in our area cash in on the shale play also. The last I heard on the shale line was that they are waiting for the results of the shoot , and they predict the lines will be moved east by a massive amount. I am not informed enough to head up any groop, but I do know one thing if someone dosen't start saying something soon we will be left to the wolves and be forced to go it alone. We have so many old school country people around this part of the country that it will be business as usually if we don't get started! Mabe you con help by putting up a flyer or something at a store or something stateing that we need to come togeather and if nothing else talk about what is going on, and give out this web site and hope it takes off, I have only seen one or two people on here from the Saline area, I don't think many people know about this site. Lets keep in touch and start spreading the word and see where it goes.

For some reason the "Interested in Leasing" discussion in the Bienville Parish group has completely been erased. Did you get a chance to see if Mr. Smith replied to me or not? Did he reply to you?

  • Renee S Cd1

You started a thread awhile back, and the question was asked "what is the difference between wells producing on a lease basis and wells producing on a unit basis?" I don't think we ever got an answer, did we?
  • Jaybird

Maybe he was just seeing what type of reaction he could get. He never confirmed my email and never contacted me. I don't put much stock into those types of posts. But just for the heck of it I sent our information. You see where it got me...nowhere city!
  • Jaybird

We have land in Bienville Parish but we already have wells all over our land. They are drilling a horizontal on our property along with a verticle well in the same section.
    S36 T17N R06w

Our land that is not leased is in Sugar Creek 255 acres. Petrohawk has been drilling near there for over 3 years in Terryville field....so we are just waiting to sign until the right offer comes along.

They will come around soon and offer the right amount...we just have to be patient.

Got your thread going again (Sonris Question) maybe that will help.
  • Taylor

Hey, Thanks for posting the new presentations. That pretty Petrohawk map changed. Wells are coming your way! Love It!
  • Dorcheated A1

I hope you can make it to the next BBQ.
  • M.L.D.M

My land is section R9W # 35...you are farther East of us. But, everything is coming your way.
    M.L.D.M.
  • M.L.D.M

We really don't know that answer. We are attending a meeting next week with Will Drill and we'll hopefully know more then. We have done lots of research but, still have lots of questions. One being, if they drill, we want to be compensated for all the trees that are taken down. Again, we really haven't found a lot of answers to the "forced" drilling. We are in R8W - T6N #35. And, who knows why some people are approached and some aren't. The landowners that are right next to us signed with Chesapeake back in September '08. Who knows??
