Our area only currently extends to section 10... :( Sorry.

Pat, I work for Twin Cities.
  • Eric S. Clarke

I will scan it this weekend and get it up here if it will work, and if not I will post it on our web site www.east80oilandgas.com. However, it is only one section that I currently have but I am finding out through sources that they are doing this all over the Caddo and Bossier Parish to unleased mineral owners.

we have started a new page on our web site titled "Forced Pooling Information" that has all the information I gathered from the meeting. I hope this helps. I am trying to minimize the contents we post on here to leave it open for discussions rather than mass amounts of information. i hope you can understand. Since this group is for members only it is not being viewed by everyone else. www.east80oilandgas.com Thank you for your understanding and you are free to view our web page as well as forward it to others that would like to view the inforamtion. Sincerely, Eric Clarke

Catfish. As there seems to be no current HS related activity in the Ada Field, I suggest that you monitor the Sibley Field to the west and the Arcadia West Field to your east. Petrohawk has an obvious HS interest in the Sibley Field. Probably because of the log for this well #236874. Notice that it was drilled to 12,695' although it was completed with perfs from 10,270' to 12,016'. I suspect that the ~700' differential is from the LCV to the HA. In the Arcadia West Field, I suggest that you follow the progress of well #239720. Good Luck.

Catfish. Two good wells to examine. Both a recent enough and by capable operators who most probably have good logs. At the Samson well (221798) is a CV well with perfs from 10,308 to 10,658, the TD of 11,500' almost certainly penetrated the HA zone. If you could get the logs and post them, I bet Shalegeo would comment on them. However, I will point out that both Conoco Phillips and Samson Contour are capable of Haynesville Shale development and, IMO, would have applied for drilling and production units in the Ada Field prior to now if they thought the shale was present in some commercially producible form and net thickness.

Catfish. Well logs are on file at the Shreveport District office of the Dept. of Natural Resources at the state office building on Fairfied Ave. in Shreveport, 6th floor. I don't deal with logs in my business but a number have been posted to the site so they may be available on-line from the Department. I suggest you ask some of the other members. Les B., Shalegeo, etc.

Hey, Catfish. I haven't had any work in the Bossier Clerk of Court's records lately so I am not up to speed on current leasing activity in 18N - 12W. Chesapeake's May 19 unit application for Sections 13-16 in 18N - 12W, Petrohawk's June 23 application for Section 19 in 18N -12W and EOG's July 7 application for Sections 1-4 in 17N - 12W would seem to indicate their is a good level of activity. And maybe a little competition for leasehold. Some of the better recent leasing offers I have heard from contacts have been in this area and south. When Petrohawk starts offering $5K/acre for a one year lease or $10K/acre for a two year lease, that gets my attention. If ng prices would improve, I suspect this area of the play would get interesting very quickly.

Catfish. I imagine the Petrohawk offers I mention were for one or more specific sections. Not for a wider area. But, yep, you are right. When the Hawk starts making those types of short term offers, they have plans to begin development in the near future. The amount of the bonus offers could very well indicate some level of competition from other operators. That would be a good development.

Hope things are going well on your end. Thanks for contributing to site discussions. Look forward to hearing more.

I thin the reason for the number/not having one is when I placed the member number system on the site. If you don't have one, it's likely because you joined before I add it.
