Thanks for the info. I have deen reading that devon has cut back there drilling this year due to price of natural gas. They did complete another well late last year the Oliver 9 that I was told was a barn burner, but so far the production does not show great results. I'm hoping they just have it choked back waiting for better prices. Please let me know if you hear anything else.
Sorry I missed your comment in the Snake forum dealing with Sinclair. I asked that to see if you had read his book in which the movie "There Will Be Blood" was based on. I wondered it the movie followed the book.

I'll be in Houston weekend after next. I don't have a confirmed schedule at this point but if I'm in your part of Houston I just might stop by for a Shaletini. And that reminds me, where's the video? LOL!
I'm working on keeping our firm above ground by refining our google ad words interface. What I need is a list of keywords that will provide the most hits to our site. We are a turn key Right of way firm that also runs a training center for agents in the haynesville shale play in Shreveport. Any ideas?
I got started in the classic car business 7 years ago by accident. I got laid off from corporate America after 911, and I started selling on eBay to bring in extra money. Soon all of the neighbors found out what I was doing, so before I knew it, I had a consignment business and sold art, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, etc.
One of the neighbors had a classic car for sale and I sold it. I discovered a passion I never knew existed. He loved the service and thought I could start a business doing it, thus Classic Lady Motors was born.
I then, a year later, sold my home outside of Chicago IL and moved to North Carolina where there are tons of classic cars and lots of good old boys who loved a hard working gal helping them market their cars on the internet. Soon the word spread and I had a thriving business.
Since then I have turned to the higher end cars and most of what I represent are investment grade vehicles.
It is a lot of fun and a unique service. All of my customers come to me through word of mouth and referral.
The classic car market has done well in spite of the economy and will continue to more than likely. They are tangible investments and one can have fun driving and enjoyng their investment.
Thanks for your interest and I look forward to learning more about you!
kj. I cancel caution regarding responses to your water pond post. There has been a significant influx of new members who appear to be connected to the industry. A number of them seem to have me in their cross hairs. LOL! You need an experienced O&G attorney for this opportunity. I always refer members to my O&G attorney, Randy Davidson (318-424-4342). If you should choose to contact him please feel free to mention that I referred you to him. His executive assistant is Jan Carter. Randy is very busy but that's because he is among the best.
i remember in the 70's going to the beach on bolivar peninsula. i grew up about 30 miles away from there so it was my second home. i used to love the hermit crabs. my friends and i would gather as many as we could and have races with them before returning them to the water. we used to float out to the second sand bar on inner-tubes and waste the day away. one time i fell off my tube right in the middle of some jellyfish. beautiful creatures, best observed from afar. lol ohhh, and did i mention the "tar" balls? yea, there were plenty of them. everywhere. one could not help but to occasionally step on one...what a mess !!! literally and figuratively. you just couldn't hardly wash that mess off.
at that young age, i just accepted "them". as i got older the beach got cleaner and the tar balls seemed to disappear. i have no idea what was going on in the gulf at that time to cause those tar balls. i am pretty sure it was not as sinister as the current disaster. it sickens me to think of the habitat and wild life that has and will be lost.

John - The I too grew up with a tar balled beach in Galveston. That was from a blow out that was just south of Brownsville Texas in the Bay of Campeche caused by a Mexico oil company (maybe Pemex). It took them and finally a US company to plug the well after 9 months of flow. Initial flow rates were 30,000 barrels per day then reduced to 10,000 after the relief wells were drilled. Google "Ixtoc Oil Spill" to learn more.
Pass it on...its always good to learn history so we don't panic and try not to repeat mistakes.. God Bells our shores...
Hi King John!!!! I have a King John too. LOL I was employed in Harris County-North Harris County for many years. After that I managed to get a great educational position with the state and left public school; I worked in adult education with an agency who did GED, Life Skills, Parenting, etc. I always worked twelve months a year; I retired and have been as busy as ever--still "running to catch up". I pay taxes in Shelby but did not work there. I worked in places that were supplemented by industry and the O&G. I had thought that as they kept drilling salaries would improve and competition be an asset. I grew up on the La. line and Logansport was almost home to me. I 'M A TEXAS THOUGH. LOL
haven't been around brudda, been enjoying the good life, and doing other stuff besides refuting media matters talking points on a website about shale gas.
Sorry it to me so long,to get back to you nothings going as expected, i think it,s time for a demand letter. the well was completed 7-1-2009 like you said there stalling.do you know a lawyer for me? Thanks, JT
