Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 13,000 members.

Because our network has grown word-of-mouth, I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family by clicking here.

Be sure to check out our tool bar. It will speed up your participation. Download our free toolbar

There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.

Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.

As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.

    best,

    Keith "Haynesville"

    P.S. Have fun SHALING!

HaynesvillePlay is a pretty decent blog.  I don't check it often because I know much of the usual data before Robert Hutchinson does and the rest isn't of interest to me.  Hutchinson started out as an early member of GHS.  He got his blog started with a good bit of content pilfered off of GHS.  As instances of members posting links to his site began Keith offer to do a reciprocal deal to allow Robert's links if he would allow GHS links on HaynesvillePlay.  Robert didn't want to do that.  The name of the game is number of readers/members/likes and the unethical way to get those is to post a link on a bunch of similar sites.  There is no law on the web and if there was, who would enforce it?  So the ethics are a choice each webmaster or bloggers must make.  On GHS links to about any relevant source is fine except any website or blog that makes money off of advertising.  The amount of ad revenue is directly proportional to the traffic.  If Hutchinson isn't willing to reciprocate for Keith I don't care to see him get free notice through links on GHS.  Now you know.  Regards, Skip
