Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 10,000 members.

There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.

Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.

Lastly, be sure to check out our tool bar. It will speed up your participation. Download our free toolbar

As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.

    best,

JB 13. For activity in your general area, I always ask Bird Dawg, plain ole idiot. He is extremely knowledgeable and stays current on activity. I don't know if there is any advantage in waiting. I always suggest that when you feel that you would be willing to enter a lease, take one week to find out all you can. Go to the parish Clerk of Court and ask to look at the Day Book. See what companies are active where. Check the lease terms and royalties in the recent leases. Do a Sonris search of an area at least five miles in each direction from your mineral tract. Read the threads not only in the Union and Claiborne Groups but also the Arkansas Group. Whatever bonus you accept do not accept an extension at a low price or better yet stick to a 3 year term. Good Luck.

    Hey JB,
No I have not been paid yet but spoke with my landman Thursday and he said he was in the process and was getting them to rush my payment thru. My Uncle also went with Pinebelt..we trust them so Im looking to see payment by the end of this month. We signed for $200 an acre, 3/16th royalty, 4/4 lease.

    Have a great day!
