Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 13,000 members.
Because our network has grown word-of-mouth, I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family by clicking here.
There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.
Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.
As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.
Hey Riceman. My place is down 481 about 14 miles southwest of Uvalde which I think is further west of you. We are less than a mile north of the Petrohawk Redhawk lease.
Thanks for contacting me. It has been real hard to get folks to talk much out there and there hasn't been much activity in our area. But that is changing now. The second Traylor well is getting some good numbers and we are working with a geologist that is convinced that EFS is GOOD underneath us. He believes that it's just a matter of figuring out how to produce it. We hope he's right.
We have a couple of folks interested in leasing and they are trying to get us to set a price. It would really help if you could share the offer you had, even though it was rescinded. Also, I'd like to know where your place is, and if the folks that are interested in ours want more land I'll send them your way.
Thanks for the info. Yes we are in the northwest corner and further away from the Traylor's. But I think if you are within 5 miles of those wells you should be getting some interest soon. Do you know if there is some seismic data on your area?
The geologist we are working with is convinced based on mud logs that our EFS is in the 250' range and that permeability is good. But our EFS is only around 2000' deep so it won't flow freely.
I heard from Petrohawk that they weren't going to produce the acreage near us. And it looks like they are trying to sell out.
Also, we have a friend to our west southwest that got $1,000/acre and 25% recently. So yes, being late may not be bad.
