Skip, thanks for the info. I am not a person that has not tried to keep on top of this by any means. Is there any way that we could talk on the phone or in person so that you could guide me on the best route to take? we have thousands of acres in sabine parish, and I want to do this the right way. I would appreciate your help if you are willing or able to give me a little of your time and wisdom. I assure you that I have been following this to the best of my ability, I am not someone asking you for this favor that has not done any research.

Jason. I would suggest that you do some research on development activity in the immediate areas of your Sabine mineral interests prior to speaking with any landman. Good Luck.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
