I am preparing ShaleBiz.com for a launch. It's an online marketplace for the shale industry. All GoHaynesvilleShale.com members will recieve free listings on ShaleBiz.com.

ShaleBiz.com allows the user to post their business, minerals, resumes, job openings and more. In addition, we have added a royalty calculator, a commodity widget, and a lease offer database.

I want to encourage you to list your events and services. To get the free listings, use the code "GHS," when they request a coupon code. This should take care it. ShaleBiz.com will fulfill a need for business to promote their services and will become a featured tool on GHS. I welcome any feedback you have. Thank you!

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
