Hello Suzanne. I spoke with a representative from Devon Energy about leasing in Sabine County and was told that although they had leased some acreage there, they are now concentrating on leasing in San Augustine County and expect to do additional leasing in Sabine County later. Since they leased some acreage from two of my family members, I am hopeful that they will enter into lease agreements with the remainder of the family. If not, I guess we will have to see who else is interested. I think the Oil & Gas companies are trying to locate the edge of the Haynesville Shale Play.
