Hay Skip thinks for this update. Looks like there just getting closer. Hope u and family have a great day.
so what about the texas side
durango mom 01. I limit my land business to the shale in NW LA. It would be a great addition to the site to have a tracking map for E. TX . but as the knowledgeable members whose interests lie in TX. will tell you, that's a much larger task than my Snapshot map for LA. The data I utilize is easily obtained on the state mineral database, SONRIS. The Texas Railroad Commission does not have a site as comprehensive and user-friendly. That along with the difference in land systems, surveys as opposed to section-township-range, makes Texas a much more complicated and time consuming task to track the development activity of Exploration & Production companies.
skip..just wondering if anyone has approached IHS Energy or DrillingInfo about becoming involved with the site? It would be easier to get data for Texas side. Also wonder if sites like www.countyrecords.com would help if represented on site.
RBH. My last subscription to Drillinginfo was $1400/year and that was for LA. only. I dropped my subscription when it became obvious that Drillinginfo was incapable of keeping up with the pace of leasing in the Play. I replaced it with remote accounts to a number of parish clerks of court. I am unfamiliar with IHS Energy and www.countyrecords.com. I would expect all three services would benefit from becoming a sponsor and/or advertising on GHS.
