Durango mom, this is all new to me too, and I am just figuring it out. I haven't been to this kind of forum before. I thought I had clicked to add you as a friend but I guess I just requested to be your friend. I thought I had done both. Sorry for the mix up. It should work now.

Trust no one!!! I have a oil /gas lease that was constructed by an oil and gas lawyer 4 years ago, it is out of date. I have taken it to another o&g lawyer for an update. There are court cases that have changed what used to be protected. I should have this info Tuesday at Timpson meeting 9/5/08 Don't sign a standard lease!

North East Shelby Co. south of 999 two miles east of Rusk Co. I was approached with 7500 . When I ask the man why would a oil co. have a pipeline constructed to a well site that has not been drilled? He said yes we know it is there. Holding out is one thing but when an oil/gas well comes in well the rent goes up. I'll wait.

D. Mom, have you signed with a company yet for your minerals? Be careful because there's alot of snakes in the grass right now. In my opinion, your setting pretty. No need to rush anything, prices are going up by the week on the Texas side.
