hey does anybody know what a rubberband clause is. also horizontal pooling.

Rubberband clause is based on production units whether pooled or not.
If your acreage is small then you would want it all put in. If acreage is larger,
then you would want to be able to release any amount of minerals not put in
the pool or unit.Horizontal severance clause can limit the depth that can be
drilled without them paying additional money. You really need these two
clauses.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
