NUDOG. I don't show a HA Unit order or application for Section 3 8N-13W. The two units on my township grid are Sections 1 & 2 to SWEPI.
Skip and NUDOG,
Ii think Comstock is drilling from Section 10 into Section 3. Check out sonris 240372, and see if you agree.
Correct. The proposed bottom hole location in in Section 3. However the well is permitted as HA non-unitized and neither section has a HA Unit application/order.
Skip,
So what does it mean to be "HA non-unitized?" Thanks in advance.
Henry. The well is being drilled in a section that is not under unit order. Therefore the advantages of unit status are not available. The main difference being that the operator can not Force Pool interests in the 80 acres that the well is permitted to produce. This is a "lease" well as opposed to a "unit" well and as such is "voluntary" as opposed to "compulsory". A number of HA wells have been drilled as "non-unitiz;ed" since the beginning of the Play. The operator has the 80 acres and quite possibly more under lease but just has not as yet applied for unit status. An application will likely be made before the well is completed.
Mary. A number of the Unit applications/orders for the HA (Haynesville zone) in north Caddo Parish also include units for other prospective zones. The HA has been combined with the Hosston, Cotton Valley and Smackover in several different combinations by more than one company. Only time will tell what the first HA wells drilled in the Longwood and Caddo Pine Island fields revealed in addition to the HA.
Skip, thank you for the information. I monitor the North Caddo group frequently, but need to get a better understanding of the leases that I have and what levels are included. I don't usually comment; I just read. The Arkansas group implied a dry hole was part of the current Smackover horizontal. I guess time will tell if that commenter really knew. I will keep watching....
Skip, maybe it is listed here, but what are the numbers that are penciled in? And why do you think or Keith think it is headed south? And Happy New Year by the way,
Tiger. "Penciled In"? See the Main Page discussion concerning Chesapeake and Plains placing their HA leasehold in the northern townships of the Play up for sale. Happy New Year.
Ok so I read the main page discussion or at least part of it....By pencilled I mean in handwriting..help an old Tiger out Skip...(as you have done many times already)
The number of Drilling and Production Units to Haynesville Depths in each township.
Maybe if you highlight that part of the discussion post opener in green or blue???? 80)
