ENCANA is in the preliminary phase of placing a 50' wide pipeline r-o-w that runs in a west to east direction, beginning around the Noble/Zwolle area and extending eastward some 12-15 miles, toward the units on previously mentioned application.

Generally, the r-o-w will be located on the extreme north end of T8N-R12W, T8N-11W, and T8N-10W. My source also mentioned tying this production into a pipeline that is being built in the Pleasant Hill area, which I would guess is the one olddog referred to.
in alot of these applications, I keep seeing the names olympia minerals and lobokay corportion. anyone know who they are? the seem to have alot of land.
Olddog,

Olympia Minerals is a major mineral owner on Boise's property. Boise (now Forest Capital) owns the surface and Olympia Minerals owns the minerals, at least that is what I have found. I believe Labokay is similar to this. We have a hunting lease on property owned by Forest Capital but on the mineral map Labokay is listed as the mineral owner. In S26-T9N-R12W, the Olympia Minerals 26 was drilled on a Forest Capital surface location but all the the minerals are owned by Olympia Minerals, I think they are based out of Washington state.
Dixie,
On a totally different topic.... I have people asking to hunt on my land all the time. So far, I've just said no. Can you tell me, roughly, what's a reasonable rate for a hunting lease?
Henry,

We lease from Forest Capital and their 2009 rates are 3.75 per acre per year, their insurance is .168 cents per acre. Hope this helps. I don't know what others charge as we have only leased from them.

Olddog,

When I was trying to find out who owned the mineral rights for some property in our section I called Forest Capital in Lake Charles and they referred me to an office in Oregon, Olympia Minerals, then I was referred to someone in Dallas with Olympia Minerals.
According to information I got at the assessors office in Many (about a year and a half ago) Labokay Corporation listed their address in care of Meriwether in Lake Charles, (I think Meriwether is now Forest Capital??) I checked the secretary of state website and there was no listing for Labokay either.
thanks. thought it might be another name for the state leasing office. when leasing, a good number of people found out the state of louisiana owned their minerals. this may be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway, what does the state of louisiana go under when leasing their minerals? state of louisiana?
I dug around and found this...
