Some family rec'd phone call last week with land lease offer on property near Marthaville?

Anyone else been contacted? If so, what was the offer/terms? I don't have the T,R,S handy..gotta look that up.

Also can anyone recommend a locally based oil/gas transaction attorney? Maybe someone in Natchitoches? Next option would be SHV..

We got a call from someone researching titles, so we know something is going on. There are several attorneys in Nat who have jumped on the band wagon and are advertising that they are O&G guys. They are NOT. When the time comes we, in that area, need to find a REAL O&G person with lots of experience. My attorney was up front and said he doesn't do O&G.
I need to get more info on this (who called and the specific loc of the property). I have been tasked with finding an O&G attorney. I researched some but know there are probably more out there that may not have a website.

Kwan,
Get an attorney with real O&G experience. You might have to go to Shreveport. There are many good ones there.
In Shreveport we used Randall Davidson. Very good and been doing this type of work for years
Robert Bethard in Coushatta is also a good O & G attorney.
Wrong Parrish..sorry for the mis-information. M
Rodney Harrington, Started career as a landman, now an attorney in Natchitoches. He's probably one of the best around our parts for oil and Gas lease knowledge
Bethard law firm in Coushatta has been the proven leader in all the good leases around Ajax in Natchitoches parish. They were doing this before the Haynesville came a long. I'm a very satisfied customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just thinking that o/g co has avoided natchitoches la. what is your opinion ? I am in T8R8 andT8R7I have heard and read all kinds of reasons like too deep ,no money, no gas etc.my land has been under lease for 30 years and the last lease expired in early 2000. I have a 640 plus. A total of 1000 in Nat.Parish I would like to hear from some local land owners in or around my land with your opinion. Thank you
I'm hoping it's b/c they're busy drilling to keep leases and that they just haven't gotten to us yet.
anybody know anything about the golddonna area
Hi Lucille, we have 75 acres in T8-R6. We know a lot of people with larger amounts of land in the area. There was the meeting once in Flora in 2008 by Rodney Harington. If there is something in the ground, it is slow because of the price of natural gas. Also, the players are very busy with HBP leases and existing new leases.
