OK. What about after completion. Whose gas pipeline will they connect to?
Yes, les turk finding a frac crew when you need one can be tough for the little guys. Hopefully someone will alert us when the completion operations start. The Anderson family is certainly wealthy but 250,000 acres @ $250 average would be $62.5M. No closely held independent is likely to take that big a risk even if they could finance it. Too many eggs in one basket. The Anderson's are too smart for that.
Skip and Les,
I've been away from GHS for a while. Where did the 250,000 acres thread come from?? No, I don't think we'd spend $62.4 MM on a lease block.

It has been hard getting a frac date as mentioned above but we now have a tentative date. We also have a preliminary frac design. Based on past experience you guys will know the details almost before I will!

I have a question/favor for you...what's the latest information on the ground as to who Triad and Pine Belt are leasing for? I hear stuff but you are closer to the sources...
Bill
Welcome back, Bill. My contact stated that the Triad landman (female) made the comment that they were looking to lease 250,00 acres. I don't have any specific information as to what company Triad and Pine Belt are representing. I don't spend much time performing research on the state line play.
I'll bet you lunch that it is Southwestern Energy that is behind Pinebelt and most likely, Triad.
Skip and Les,
I know you don't have a crystal ball, but do you expect the leasing to continue along the state line area of Claiborne and Union Parishs?
Your insights are appreciated.

Yes.
Any new updates?
any news on this well?

I keep hearing that the frac is scheduled for this week.

Is there any activity in Magnolia in the Walker School Community?

Yes, there is leasing in that entire area.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
