Does anyone have any info. on a proposed gas plant in the extreme southern part of San Augustine County? Heard thru the "grapevine" of one near the Sam Loggins property.

Jimmy, is this a gas processing plant for NGL recovery or a gas treating plant for removal of CO2 & H2S.  My guess would be the latter.
LesB: Not sure, but tend to agree with you. The reason I'm trying to find out is because I have a relative that has land in that area. It is large enough tract for either type of plant. They could certainly use the money if the"Company" needed the land to build on. I have no interest at all in which way this goes, I'm just trying to help my relative. Any info. you might obtain would be greatly appreciated. Thanks LesB
Jimmy, what survey is the Sam Loggins property in, please?
jfree1:I'm pretty sure it is in the Samuel D. McMahon A-28. My relative is not the Sam Loggins property. I was only referring to that property because my relative's property  is in the same local.
Jimmy, I just talked to my friends in A-28 and they say the rumor is flying around that area but what they heard was the gas plant was purported to be "at or close to" the intersection of 21 and 103.  Nothing concrete... but they will let me know if they hear of an actual sale of acreage in the neighborhood.
Thanks jffree1. My relative had heard that "the Company" was looking for land near the Blackstone well and needed a nearby Hiway and Railroad, and her property is near both(actually backs up to the RR). I guess we will just have to wait for some concrete info. Thanks.
Jffree, the Gulf South Pipeline runs thru the area but someone else would likely be the party installing any new gathering and treating facilities.
Thanks, Les.  I am familiar with where that line is located.  I'm a bit confused by Jimmy's reference to "the extreme southern part of San Augustine County", though.  The survey named is on the east side of the county just north of Hwy 103 and east of Hwy 96... not even in the south end of the county but it is very near the Sabine County line.
My apologies, jffree. I should have said the  Eastern part, instead of the extreme Southern end. Yes the Gulf South line does go thru that area. All that I've heard may only be rumors. If you or LesB hear anything else, please post it. Thanks for ya'lls help.
No biggie.  I know other people with land in that area.  If I hear anything I will post it.
The Loggins land is in A-39 Roberts survey between the Mcmahon survey and Sabine cty.
Yes, Fred, I know where the Loggins property is. I'm kin to them in a "round-about-way". My other relative also has property in that area and heard (possibly rumor) of a Gas Plant going in down there. May be only rumors. Was trying to find out if anyone else had heard anything about it.  Thanks anyway Fred.
