Does it normally take this long to drill wells? I signed Right of Way for the Electrical to be installed to drill the wells over 1 year ago. Just haven't heard anything in 1 year.
Do you think the operators will loose interest in Haynesville since the natural gas price has been so low? Do you think the operators will switch to drilling for crude oil instead?
Caroline, there is no "normal" as to length of time to drill a well. Only the operator knows the schedule for development. Comstock doesn't have a huge leasehold and will probably continue development drilling for some time as they need to maintain cash flow. Yes, most operators who can do so are placing greater emphasis on wells that will produce oil or natural gas liquids. Unless you have mineral interests outside of this unit, don't waste your time worrying about getting drilled or not. You are sitting in the catbird seat.
