Nothing going on in my backyard so I took a drive down Hwy 21 today. Saw 2 drilling rigs set up very close to the highway about 5 miles south of Madisonville. Also saw some NEW old time pumps had been placed on sites and were pumping. The oil business is definitely alive and well all the way from Madisonville to Bryan.

Vernon, I'm glad you started a discussion on the pipeline because it's an important topic but I would suggest that you move it from the "Texas" page to this group (nobody goes there much anymore... it was our very first "NOT Louisiana" group on Go Haynesville Shale before we started any county and district pages).  You are more likely to get responses over here.

PS: I don't think anyone in this group much cares if you "hijack" a thread.  Our conversations are sort of like breakfast at the local diner.  They meander all over the place and we seem to like it that way.  I just thought the pipeline was pretty important and newbies might wander in looking for specific info so giving it a discussion will make it easy to find.

Navidad sent me a letter today wanting to be able to drill for oil and gas. I sign a lease back in Nov. of 2008 with a three year option for a gas lease only and now they want oil and gas. I hope this means it want be long before we see a rig moving in. Has anyone else had Navidad do this? From the looks of it they will be going to the Upper Glen Rose in the Fort Trinidad Field. The Fort Trinidad Field is classified as a gas field but I think they also want to produce oil if it makes oil. They couldn't have come at a better time if they are.

Navidad is a very good operator. They have been very active drilling and have had some very nice IPs from vertical commingled wells of the Glen Rose, Georgetown, and Bubba Formations.  They recently completed a horizontal buda well in madison county. I would be happy to be leased by them if i had minerals in you area.
