Just wondering if there is ANY activity( i.e. drilling, leasing etc...) in Nacogdoches Co. at the moment.  Whats going on with leases in that area?  Has anyone had a lease expire that wasnt renewed?  Just looking for any general information about the area...

I'm pretty sure they let it expire.  I know they did mine.

SB----sorry to hear that. Did they just not pay option or you had no option in original lease. Were you in same location as ROG?

Yes, same location.  They exercised the two year option which expired last month.  Hopefully, they or someone else will circle back around to buy a lease in the future.

SB--- Confused--you said they exercised the two year option then they paid you extension bonus and you are still leased for two years. Or is you message typo and they did not exercise option and let your lease expire????

C'mon Trish, you're gonna make it to 90+ like the rest of us. We'll be showing the younger generations what the meaning of life after 80 is all about. Travel, nightlife, new adventures in exotic places, etc....

I think you might want to contact XTO and see if they think they still have an active lease on your property.  Just a suggestion.  They may think your lease expired back in 2011.

The lease had a 2 yr. option on it.

I here that CHK abandon the old Barfield #1H unit that Pogo drilled a James lime well about 10 years ago-- marginal well-- and let the lease of 696 acres expire in January of this year and then XTO/XOM came in last month and leased it as a offset to the Zips DU #!H Bossier Shale well that has made about 1.75 Bcf in first 10 months. Term of lease  unknow. I hear this will be the only dry gas lease in area for few years unit NG get back to >$5 They leased it since that got the complete unit and the plate is laid out very nice for several north-south laterals H wells

Lease expired 9/2011, signed new lease Dec '11 with EOG, 6 miles east of Nacogdoches.

jan--nice to hear-- are you in shale play or other like travis peak and james lime? what terms you received if you can tell us? where you with EOG prior? Got wells producing close to you?

Carthage shale - $350 1/5th no cost. Not the best but it's done.  I doubt we will see any activity since they've got 3 years plus a 2yr option and the gas isn't going anywhere.  The prior lease had been assigned to EOG.

Closest well is Lone Wolf (Kendrick James). In February we found out (nice surprise) we had been included in the Shofner Well (shale) drilled June 2011.

1/5 with no cost royalty not bad since the R free is worth about 2.5% addtional R--- EOG is excellent operator and they have the money to drill it one day so I would be happy with it-- the bonus not everything. NG back to $3 today :) So you have other acres HBP in the Shofner that's good. Did EOG drill the Shofner? What Survey you in?
