Thanks Vernon please tell Snoopy no rush seems like they will be in the area for awhile.
Tx 54
Thanks Vernon/Snoopy
The Water tower is correct and the Photo with a lot of activity is the "Jackson" which we hear is making 150 bopd and the "Brown" is correctly id also and shows much truck tracks in front of the tanks.
The Photo from 3000' shows "Brown" to the left and "Worley" to the right ----- if the time is correct on these photos Snoopy does not mind getting HOT in the PM so my hat goes off to YOU.
Dbob, what is the truck that looks like a propane truck in the "Brown" photo ?
Its a propoane truck - see the white tank further befind it? Maybe they are getting ready to put in a generator or some type of propane powered lift pump?
Re Abbey Road - second pit suggests change in mud chemistry. wish I knew for sure what that dark colored liquid on the top of the bigger pit was. Could be simply dark colored drilling fluid, or something else.
Really enjoyed seeing the Snoopy pictures! Unfortunately it shows a lot less "green" in the pastures --grass turning brown in the last 2 weeks. May change next week--Houston Co Coop in Pennington area today trimming trees in anticipation of tropical storm coming through next week with possible damage.
In my travels from Pennington south, I have seen quite a bit of activity around several pipeline sites--port bathrooms on site. You can follow their locations from Livingston to Liberty easily.
Joseph,
I am EXPECTING your predictions of rain ---------- R-Data showing XTO "Abbey Road" drilling on the 1R ---- Believe that the ROW work you are seeing is part of the TransCanada Keystone Line that Bush said "will be built" and Obama said "wont be built" and despite all the official lip service this project never stopped.
ROW south of Pennington would be the OneOk Sterling III. The Keystone is way east of Pennington. It runs approximately parallel with Hwy 59 through those parts.
Keystone's alternate plan B would have put it farther west but it was scraped.
Thanks Vernon,
I was in reference to Joseph's quote " you can follow their locations from Livingston to Liberty" as I have first hand knowledge of Keystone activity starting near Rye Tx. along hwy 146
I was aware of the OneOk Sterling --- have they started construction also ? I suppose that route will end up in the SE corner of Tx also ?
OneOk is going to Mount Belvue, just outside of Houston
Robert
The well will first be stimulated/completed - we may get clues from that traffic before anything becomes "official". First official word will come from the RRC oil and gas completion query, which can be found here: http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/CMPL/publicHomeAction.do
XTO has completed some wells west of here recently, and put in a "well record only" which basically doesn't give the completion data. It may be upto a year or more before we find out.
Realistically, If Snoppy or someone else can fly it in about 2-3 months, we should know something based on the tank counts. Landowner, if he is talkative, will probably also know something based on truck traffic
I gather production numbers in Dist. 6 every month (Haynesville wells only, so far) so we may see a "pending" production report long before the completion report is turned in. They have been known to stay on "pending" status for a year or longer in other plays... which incites me to start posting their production and completion data ala Shelby County.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
