Cat equipment arrived yesterday in Pennington to start road for pad. 3.5 inches of rain last night halted this action. Hopeful for the end of the week. Still looking for drilling permit to be posted.

Great Pictures Snoopy,

Scandrill Rig Locator  confirms short move "SKID"

Any word on the #1 Hole ?

Good guess DBOB on the skid

Here are the latest pictures from Snoopy, 15 Aug 2012.  The 10 Aug 2012 picture has previously been posted but it is included here for reference.

Snoopy's comments - "Notice the smaller square plan pit after well was skidded over ?? feet. Also the large stock of down hole casing on racks."

Vernon and Snoopy ya'll are the best.  Pictures are awesome and much appreciated. It is so nice to get an aerial perspective of the area. Thanks again. Bonus for everyone :)))

Is it possible that they have already drilled Well #1 API # 225-31217 and the skid was to Well #1R (previously Well #2H) API # 225-31235?  According to the plats #1 is 31' west and 38' south of 1R and if my math is correct they would be about 49' apart.

Yes, they have drilled 225-31217 which had a spud date of 7-25-12 but it's possible they had to abandon it for some reason. That might account for why they changed the number of the 2H to 1R and changed the profile to vertical.

On 225-31235 the spud was on 8-15-12. The rig is Scandrill "Texas" on both.

Took a ride out to the rig today. They had at least 10 pallets of concrete sitting on location. Couldn't see where they maybe had plugged the well but a wireline truck was set up also.
Also on that first well could be a top out job just thought about that but who knows!!

  Lucky,

"could be a top out job"  ??????  please explain

Could cement be for setting casing in the well they are drilling now ?

It's to fill the conductor pipe after setting surface cement. Not sure how long the pallets have been out there but guess it could be for ether well. I used to work on rigs several years ago but never have seen it so I might be wrong about it.

Here is a copy of the plat showing both well locations.

Thanks for the info guys - I've been out of pocket a few days and have nothing to add - I think you've covered it pretty well.  I remain convinced they hit something on the 1 that was really outside of what they had expected.
