Great Pictures Snoopy,
Scandrill Rig Locator confirms short move "SKID"
Any word on the #1 Hole ?
Good guess DBOB on the skid
Here are the latest pictures from Snoopy, 15 Aug 2012. The 10 Aug 2012 picture has previously been posted but it is included here for reference.
Snoopy's comments - "Notice the smaller square plan pit after well was skidded over ?? feet. Also the large stock of down hole casing on racks."
Vernon and Snoopy ya'll are the best. Pictures are awesome and much appreciated. It is so nice to get an aerial perspective of the area. Thanks again. Bonus for everyone :)))
Is it possible that they have already drilled Well #1 API # 225-31217 and the skid was to Well #1R (previously Well #2H) API # 225-31235? According to the plats #1 is 31' west and 38' south of 1R and if my math is correct they would be about 49' apart.
Yes, they have drilled 225-31217 which had a spud date of 7-25-12 but it's possible they had to abandon it for some reason. That might account for why they changed the number of the 2H to 1R and changed the profile to vertical.
On 225-31235 the spud was on 8-15-12. The rig is Scandrill "Texas" on both.
Lucky,
"could be a top out job" ?????? please explain
Could cement be for setting casing in the well they are drilling now ?
Here is a copy of the plat showing both well locations.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
